As we brace ourselves for another season of certain uncertainty, we feel in the deepest part of our cells another story humming- an emerging future. The human species is a living, breathing body of this generous earth and of our glowing universe. With plant and animal allies at our side we know we have all the tools to live well and flourish, if only we can learn to open ourselves to their ancient teachings. We are offered a choice in our path forward. Can we lean into forgotten and unknown worlds? Can we adapt to embody the decentralized leadership of the starlings, the hive mind of the honey bees, the resilience of the dandelion, and the mutual aid networks of the mycelium? Healing spirals out from collaboration. The rising swell of our movements reflects the strength of our relationships. May we crack the foundations of individualism that white supremacy has taught us, reprioritize the health of the whole and learn to embrace an ever expanding sense of self.
